Happy 46, Singapore!
I'm turning 46 in 13+ years. In 2025, will I be as proud of my achievements as I am of Singapore?

200 things to do in Singapore!
I read a recent article about this lady who listed 200 things to do (in Singapore!) and she did over 100 of them during the weekends in the past year. Are there really so many things to do? Maybe....so I thought I will start a list of things I have not done in Singapore and see what I can cover :) Here goes (and look out for my updates!) :P
081011 - I have not listed 200 items and ticked off many!
1) Watch Voyage De La Vie @ RWS (this is kind of cheating because I am going tomorrow!)
- Went on 07/08/2011. Nice. I like. Photo credit: AML :)
2) Sentosa Luge & Skyride (seen it almost everytime I went to Sentosa but never board it - I shall!)
3) Singapore Flyer (heard mixed review about it though...)
- Yes, I finally went on 23/02/2013! Lovely sunset on the Singapore Flyer. Thanks for the treat, YK :)
4) Cable Car (have not sat on the new ones)
5) Kim Choo's Kitchen/Rumah Bebe (bak chang or beaded shoes, anyone?)
6) Singapore Turf Club
7) Changi Village (and a staycation at the hotel...)
- 30/03/2013. I cycled from East Coast Park to Changi Beach Park and had lunch at Changi Village. The staycation is yet to come though...hmmm...
8) Ski-360
9) Spa Botanica
10) Little India (have not really explore...)
11) Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve
12) Istana (have not been there for a long time...)
13) Labrador Natural Reserve
Went on 111211 at 7am! We went straight to the jetty but there was nothing much to see. Maybe it will be more interesting if you want to do a nature walk. If you stay in the west, it's a place to get away from the city buzz. And you can listen to the nature/run/fish/cycle without having to squeeze with thousands of people in East Coast Park. Saw the Labrador Restaurant (feels very kampong :/) Surprise - I didn't know there is a motel/hotel nearby - City Break Resort. Might be worth a weekend stay if you really need to get away from the city but yet still be in the city :P
14) Farmart Centre
15) Hay Dairies Goat Farm
16) Haji Lane (have not been there for a while...)
17) Dempsey Hill (have not been there for a while...)
18) Orchidville
19) Dustbunny (Blk 112 #01-203 Bukit Purmei Rd - been wanting to visit and see the vintage stuff - and it's so near to my place!)
Finally went on 010512. Left empty handed. But am glad I went :)
20) Marina Barrage
21) ArtScience Museum
Went on 081011. Enjoyed an afternoon of art + science :)
22) H&M Singapore
I finally went! But I cannot remember when :)
23) Botanic Gardens (have not been there for a while...time to take the Circle Line soon...)
Went on 15/10/11 on the Circle Line. Reminds me of King's Park in Perth.
25) Top of the Pinnacles@Duxton!
26) D' Kranji
27) P. Ubin (have not been there for a long time too...haha...)
28) Granny's Day Out ( I like vintage!!)
I went too. But cannot remember when (probably sometime during the Great Singapore Sales in 2012- June/July?). Did not get anything from the shop. I always wonder why people managed to buy nice vintage stuff but I can't!! :( Will try again...
29) Asian Civilisation Musuem (thinking of going to the Tarracotta exhibition
Went on 16/10/11.
30) MBS staycation + Casino!
Finally went to MBS for a staycation with GFs in January 2012. Watched Wicked and celebrated MQ's birthday too. It's really nice! :) The casino next!
31) NEX - heard so much about the new (probably no longer by the time I go) shopping centre in Serangoon
Just went in August/September 2012 before attending T's one-month old birthday party. Had coffee with friends there. There seems to be many food options at NEX. Did not really have time to explore though.
32) One-North
- Went on 23/01/2013 for Jimmy Monkey ;-) Yeah for indie café!
33) Kent Ridge
34) Duxton (heard about the many brunch places that have popped up in the areas!)
- 03/02/2013. Finally went for brunch :) at Group Therapy
35) The Prive - it's so near my place! I should go there for brunch soon.
Went with SF on the last day of 2012. Beautiful place...
36) Sentosa Cove
37) River Safari (to see the pandas!)
38) SEA Aquarium at RWS
39) Ikea Tampines.
40) Sky Gardens
41) Explore the Park Connector Network
42) Shakespeare under the stars (Otello is coming!)
43) Guildsmen Barracks
44) West Coast Park. It's been a while....
45) Watched Phantom of the Opera at MBS
46) Casino at MBS!
to be continued....
Note to myself (23 Dec 2012): I should really start exploring these places since I have time now... till...and come up with the list!

24) Tiong Bahru preccint (heard there are lots of nice quaint shops now)
The area has indeed changed a lot! Went to Tiong Bahru Bakery twice in the last few months (August- October 2012, cannot really remember). I like it :) There are many other cafes which I want to try to. Will definitely be popping by soon. With my lomo camera, perhaps? :)

Scrapbooking I
Was scrambling for photos this morning - it's been like two years since I last developed photos. With FB and Tweeter, there's really no need to keep one's memories in hardcopy anymore. But like what our interns who joined me today, it's always a nice surprise to receive a handmade card in the mailbox.
Have always wanted to learn scrapbooking (although today's class was really to give participants a taste of what scrapbooking is like) but was not sure if I should invest time and money. Maybe I should ride on this start and continue at it for a while... Till my next update on scrapbooking! :)
